Educational Qualification:
i) Compiler : Bachelor?s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.
ii) Statistical Investigator Grade – II Bachelor?s Degree with Statistics as one of the main subjects OR Bachelor?s Degree with Mathematics ( with Statistics as a papers studied in one year/two years/all three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects OR Bachelor?s Degree with Economics ( with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects OR Bachelor?s Degree with Economics ( with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects OR Bachelor?s Degree with Commerce (with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects Note-: “Statistics” means any branch of Statistics, applied or otherwise.
iii) All other Posts: Bachelor?s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
Age Limit : Should be between 18 yrs to 27 yrs.

The Staff Selection Commission is functioning under the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India. Initially known as Subordinate Services Commission, it was set up on 1 July 1976 primarily to make recruitment on zonal basis for non-technical Group C posts under the Central Government, except the post for which recruitment was made by Railway Service Commission and the industrial establishments.

Mode of Selection :
A. After the Written Examination and the Interview /Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test/Document verification wherever applicable, the Commission will draw up the All India Merit List for each category of post for those candidates who have qualified as many candidates as are found by the Commission to have qualified in the Examination shall be recommended for appointment for each category of post up to the number of unreserved vacancies available, taking into consideration option for the posts.

For General and OBC Candidates : Rs. 100/-
For SC/ST/PH/WED Category candidates: are not required to pay any fee.

How to Apply :
Candidates may submit Online applications at website. They should retain registration number assigned to them on line for correspondence with the commission. They should not submit print outs of their application to the commission. The facility of on-line application will be available upto 12.02.2014 (5:00 PM) For Part-I Registration And For Part-Ii Registration Upto 14.02.2014 (5.00 P.M.).
