Experience:

• Medical coding knowledge base area - medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical records, multi-specialty coding (Radiology, IVR, Inpatient, emergency department preferably), coding reference manuals, compliance and federal regulations
• Minimum of 6 months experience in Medical Coding (any speciality)
• Certifications : AAPC Coding Certification , AHIMA certification (Mandatory)

Skills:

• Good analytic skills and expertise to be proficient in accurately coding medical records utilizing ICD-9-CM and CPT conventions specially emergency room coding.
• Strong ability to interpret medical records of the patients in different specialties
• Able to work under pressure and deliver expected daily productivity targets
• Can work in toughest of conditions, able to handle diverse clients
• Ability to work with speed and Accuracy

Package Offered : INR 80,000 - 3,00,000 P.A

Job Profile :

• Excellent understanding of ICD9-CM, inpatient and outpatient coding guidelines.
• Exposure in HCC coding is an added advantage & maintain a working knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding principles, governmental regulations, protocols and third party requirements regarding billing and billing documentation.Assure that all services documented in the patient's chart are coded with appropriate CPT-4 and ICD-9 codes.
• When services are not documented appropriately, seek to attain proper documentation in a timely manner.Achieve and maintain a high level of accuracy in professional fee coding while maintaining a high level of productivity.
• Conduct a review of patient hospital charts to insure compliance with coding and documentation guidelines and governmental requirements provide written reports to Manager with results of theseaudits.Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Ability to take direction from all levels.
• Exhibit a high level of individual initiative.Effectively build a team environment
